Hurry up slow coach! I'm tired of waiting for you!
Come on in-the water is just fine!
Just how I like it! Not too cold, not too wavy, not too murky, not too rocky, not too seaweedy, not too choppy, not too busy, not too windy!!!!!JUST RIGHT!!! Fussy whatzit aren't I!!!!!
We have been spoiled with the conditions at the beach lately and I have been doing lots of swimming in the sea-real swimming, with goggles and everything! Like many Australian children, I grew up doing regular vacation swimming and swam my way through all the certificates you get. I have been a keen lap swimmer in the past but I have always been a bit sceptical when it comes to swimming in the ocean-creatures and all things lurking beneath have made me(with the help of my vivid imagination)somewhat nervous! Floating and splashing about have never been a problem. My Surf Life Saver partner(who just happens to be half man, half dolphin)is often amused by my antics! But lately I have become a sea swimmer( as the water has been clear and calm (most days!).
This spot (probably the most photographed jetty ruin in South Australia)
was taken from inside one of these man made caves, is where I have been swimming.
I am lucky that this wonderful and special place is 500 metres from our home!
Last year Ballarat Patchwork had a challenge to make an apron entirely out of Dick and Jane Fabric. The prize was $50 worth of fabric of your choice.I put in an entry and was amazed that I was an equal winner with the lovely Annie from Flowergarden. We were both as thrilled as each other to share the prize but the funny thing was-we were the only two entries!!!LOL!!!
I have been making more inchies.
And needed a new key ring.
Hmmm! I LOVE the summer holidays!
