Small Mums
At about this time last year I was inspired by applehead's wonderful smallpeople postcards.They are amazing collages made with all sorts of different papers and all have a quirky phrase accompanying them. Last year I took my set of postcards to school and the students had a go at making their own smallmum collages for Mothers' Day. I did the same this year with my year one class and was pleased with how they turned out-hope their mums are too!
My mum is beautiful and likes flowers.
My mum likes to go and look at flowers.
When I am happy my mum is happy.
My mum likes putting out the washing in our new big back yard.
Thank you mum for making sure we have clean clothes.

They are fantastic. I will have to show Julian's teacher - although between you and me, she's very nice, but perhaps not so crafty.

these are amazing, so gorgeous and so well done!! and your Crocs!! I LOVE Crocs too, I have 3 pairs and would sleep in them too but the purple ones threw me for a second, it looked like my feet, my first pair (which I still wear) are purple AND I have that Ladybug Jibbit in them too!!

They are so fantastic!!! I love Applehead's small people and when I showed them to my eldest daughter (10) she went off and created her own characters! Then Marianne very kindly sent her a pack of papers so she could make more - how fab was that?

absolutely gorgeous! It's the handmade things the kids create which really makes my day...I'm sure the artwork you planned will be cherished by the mums.
