Lovely Sunny Sunday

The bees were out in full force "doing their thing" in the sunshine....

 

 

I finished this Woollie koala and have finally found a way to give the impression of fluffy ears...

 

 

Here she is in her natural habitat!

 

I have admired the softies made by Virginia Zuluaga and was excited that she has a tutorial on how to make them.

It is in Spanish but the photos give an excellent indication on the steps to follow...

 

 

My pile of crochet squares is growing nicely...

 

And I made a purchase during the week from the wonderful Ric Rac.

Now these cute little dollies will be found in all corners of the globe, getting into mischief wherever they go, as I am sure these patterns will sell like hotcakes! You Rock Ric Rac!

 

 

Short but Sweet!

I was not disappointed with the spectacular display I witnessed this week!

7:00 in the evening......

 

 

 

And lo and behold.....7:00 in the next morning.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The smell was just amazing-sort of a cross between jasmine, gardinia and frangipani-very heady indeed!! But very short lived!

5:00 the same day!!!

 

Short but Sweet!

 

Time for a Catch Up!

  We have been fortunate to have had a long weekend here, which has been just wonderful-lazy, sunny autumn days-time to catch my breath, catch up with what has been going on in blogland and relax a bit!

Here are some bits and pieces going on in my neck of the woods!

I am happy about these somewhat unusual buds...

A few years ago my friend gave me a cutting of this kind of ordinary looking succulent plant. It is average looking most of the year round but when it has flowers "be prepared to be amazed!" The flowers are stunning-I have only ever had one! And the weird part about it is they usually come out at night and only last one day! The perfume is amazing-and I have three buds!!

 

I am keeping a watchful eye so I don't blink and miss something!

I picked up these lovely plates...

 

 

And am looking forward to sea urchin season...

 

And loving the banksia...which will turn from this...

 

To this...

 

I have another Woolly on the go...

 

And am thinking up ways to use these lovely doillies...

 

I have started some new crochet..

 

 

Here is Kobi being "ever so good and patient" while Ray cooks up a storm and the house is smelling like a bakery and torturing his senses!

Just a Quick One!

Life is somewhat busy at the moment but I had fun making this Woolly.

 

   

Off it goes in the post tomorrow to Silly Gilly to be auctioned for the Bushfire Appeal. A big thank you to Gillian for organising this.

PS.... IT IS RAINING TONIGHT!!!! We almost forgot what it was like here in South Oz-it is MOST welcome-you can almost hear the garden sigh with relief! Hope across the border is enjoying a wet night too.
