A great big THANK YOU to Levin of the I wannabe crafty Blog. The other day I had one of those little notes from Australia Post letting me know that a parcel had arrived just for me. I thought it was my package of seeds from Diggers but I was surprised and delighted to find out it was my Pay it Forward present from Levin. I was touched and felt very lucky to receive such a beautiful and exquisitely made felted bag and zip pouch.
I love the beaded poppies that reminded me of Anzac Day.
The skill and generosity of fellow bloggers continually amazes me! Thank you so much Levin!
During my couple of weeks of school holidays I seemed to go to more than my usual number of fairs and markets and couldn't resist a few goodies....
Like this wool from the Waldorf Autumn Fair...
Or these pictures from The Meadows Easter Market...
Handcarved wooden love heart buttons...
And these gorgeous prints from the Willunga Artist's market...
They are from original watercolours by a local woman called Cathryn Marinos. It makes them even more special when you meet and chat with the artist.
This little plaque was $4 from a little bric brac place in Myponga.
I saw this baby blanket at the Waldorf Fair and thought it was such a lovely idea. Apparently, when a class member has a baby brother or sister, each family who has a child in that class, creates some sort of wooly square. These are then sewn together and made into a special present for the new baby.
The mega granny square crochet blanket is alive and well!
60 done and 132 to go! I am experiencing a bit of RSI!!
As school holidays come to a close I feel like Oliver in OliverTwist as I would like to ask whoever is in charge of holiday distribution and allocation....
"Please sir, Can I have some more?" Greedy aren't I??
