Have just read our blog for the first time. Love your granny squares. Like you I love Sadako's story. I worked as a Library Assistant in a school several years ago and after reading the story we started to make cranes. Soon lots of kids throughout the school joined in and we made 1000 and hung them in the library entrance. After a couple of years we decided to send them to Hiroshima. We received a letter bacck with photos of the box with our cranes beside Sadako's memorial and pictures of thousands of other cranes sent there. It was a great experience for the kids and we ended up making another 1000 for our library.

Lovely work Jenny. Granny rugs have come a long way with all the new colours and fibres.
