I have been busy writing mid year reports and it is such a relief that they are done! Yay! Now I can attempt to get some balance back into my life!! School kind of just takes over sometimes.
The other day one of my mums from last year came to see me after school with a brand new book she had borrowed from her library for me! Such thoughtfulness. Anyway, when she showed me I got very excited indeed.......
Here is a glimpse of what is inside-sweet indeed!
It seems like a useful book to buy to me (any excuse to add to my craft library!)
I went walkabout with my camera yesterday....
The bridge I cross on the track to the beach.
I must find out what these actually are-I think they are the leftover outer skins of these blackish caterpillars that hang around in clumps on Eucalypts that we used to call `Spitfires` when we were kids or they may be some kind of grub casting......will have to do some research!
A bit of a sandy post.
Bark of a lovely tree in our garden called,`Silver Princess`.
Bougainvillea hanging around.
And I'll leave you with some Joyfulness!......
Oh Maaaaaaaaaaaaan! Now I want that book even more!!!!

Great to hear your reports are finished. I just finished marking all the tests the other day. It feels so good to have them done.
That book is really cute, and so sweet of a mother to go and borrow it for you!
Great shots too! I'd so love to join you on your daily walk some day.

Hi I found my way here from Chookyblue, those grub castings/cases are likely to be what we grew up knowing as rain moths, those big grey brown moths that appear (at night)when it rains and die usually leaving there eggs everywhere! If these cases were under trees thats where they emerged from, apparently they are good fish bait and the method to find them is to shovel back a few inches of soil from around the tree and then when you find the hole, stick a piece of wire down with the end bent like a cork screw to "wind " up the grub!!!
You re are so lucky to have an interesting art /museum to visit, nearly everything around here is based on mining!Cheers!
